Abstract

This review provides general description and definition as well as basic information on the synthesis and structure of zeolite molecular sieves. Formation of zeolite structures starting from primary and secondary building units is dealt with. Principles of mechanisms of zeolite synthesis, function of organic templates in the synthesis, and possibilities of isomorphous substitution into the siliceous framework are outlined. New trends in the zeolite synthesis are mentioned. A review with 69 references.
